The thing is right, I don't like to starve. This means that as an artist I need a day job and that day job can get in the way. Like it has for the last three weeks!
The other thing is that I kinda LIKE my day job even though it doesn't have anything in common with my life as an artist. Which is fine. Right now it pays and has to come first. But I don't want to be doing this particular job (one could even say CAREER) forever. It would be nice to eventually phase it out and phase pottery in.
This will probably happen in 20 years and I won't be unhappy if it happens much sooner.
For now this is life and I have to fit my random pigs and cross stitch in where I can. I am actually pretty lucky because my day job is not very stressful and has fairly regular hours. It's just that three weeks ago that went a bit tits up and I have not been able to get out in the shed since.
I was able to get a kiln load glazed for a glaze firing and here are some of the results. Lots and lots of pigs, some moggies, some sheep, and one or two random experiments. Also all of the test tiles which look great. I will post about those separately when I get them all hung up.
