Hello happy friends! January 25th was Chinese New Year and, growing up in a community with a large Asian population this was a festival that my own family regularly observed. So this week we have five free cross stitch patterns celebrating the lunar new year and the Year of the Rat. I will be honest, Chinese New Year was mostly about food for me. Many of the free cross stitch patterns coming out this week feature Chinese food in cross stitch. But it was also about all the colours and parades featuring friendly dragons and fire crackers.
This free Chinese fan cross stitch pattern is probably a bit silly. But I don't care! Even though it is a rather large and pretty much full coverage cross stitch pattern, would be good for a beginner cross stitcher because the design is simple with big colour blocks. Maybe you have a fan boy or girl in your life (or even a fan of fans?) who would appreciate the pun here.
