Myth and Magic Week! Five Free Fabulous Creature Cross Stitch Patterns.
Hello happy friends! Last week the theme was Missing You Much. I toyed with the idea of calling this week Mything You Much but, even though I have no limits for puns, you all probably do. So this week there are five free fabulous cross stitch patterns featuring magical and mythical creature in colourful silhouette style.
Today we have a unicorn silhouette cross stitch pattern in unicorn rainbow colours. When I was a kid I was obsessed with unicorns. It was my one concession to girly-ness in an otherwise tomboy-ish existence of throwing rocks, climbing trees, and poking things under rotting logs. There were no barbies in our house but there were quite a few My Little Ponies. Which I still have by the way. This unicorn cross stitch pattern is, like all of this week's free cross stitch patterns, great for a beginner. Technically you don't even need a whole bunch of colours if you have some pretty rainbow variegated floss. You could do the whole thing with that! And, although I subscribe to gender neutrality, it must be admitted that there will be many a little girl who would love to get this from their grandma. You could even add some words or a name around it and turn it into a birth announcement cross stitch or something like that.
