This particular nugget of wisdom has hit home this week for me. I am trying to teach myself throwing (as in on a pottery wheel) and for the first time since I was like ten years old I am going to have to commit to practising something without a teacher or my Mom there to nag me or offer any encouragement.
So you can have all the equipment and all the best intentions in the world but it is the ability to motivate yourself to succeed and not need anyone else to push you or encourage you that is going to make a chicken.
Or something like that.
