It's the last day of Space Week! A whole week of astronomy, space, and planet themed free cross stitch designs to download.
Today we have a lonely little rover doing science on the surface of some remote and barren planet! I remember when the Mars rover first started sending back pictures to Earth. It was the first time the human race got to see what an entirely different planet looked like. It was amazing!
I really like this design. It was spontaneous and done entirely in my cross stitch design software. For some reason most of my best designs don't have any planning or sketching or anything. I especially like the subtle curve of the machine tracks and all of the shading that gives this free cross stitch design such life.
I would say that this is a fairly advanced cross stitch pattern. There are subtle colour changes and lots of back stitching. If you are a beginner cross stitcher maybe check out yesterday's free space themed cross stitch design below.
