Hello happy friends! How are you today? Last week is was all birds. This week it is sort of all birds as well if you consider dinosaurs to be the ancestors of birds! There are five free dinosaur cross stitch patterns coming out this week that are perfect for kids. Of all ages!I loved dinosaurs as a kid and had all sorts of books about them. I was obsessed with fossils. Where I grew up there were lots of rocks and shale beds and we used to go hiking and hunting fossils. It was so much fun to find one. Never found a dinosaur though. Just leaves and little sort of snail like creatures.
Even in my lifetime there have been so many discoveries about dinosaurs that pretty much everything I learned in school is no longer relevant. Like some had feathers and some were brightly coloured. I like that last discovery. It is fun to think of huge lizard creatures all the colours of the rainbow like tropical parrots running around the ancient jungles.
Today's free dinosaur cross stitch pattern for kids is a stegosaurus. In terms of my top 5 dinosaurs the stegosaurus is number 2 just behind the brontosaurus. I had a plastic stegosaurus as a favourite toy when I was a kid. This cross stitch dinosaur is so cute and I love the colours.
