Hello happy friends! Yes that's right, it is time for another week of random remnants from my ort cloud of free cross stitch patterns. All of the leftovers that didn't quite fit a theme in the last couple months or didn't quite make it into a theme week.
These cross stitch 3D glasses might evoke some nostalgia in some of us who are a, ahem, certain age. In fact I have a very specific memory related to this free cross stitch pattern which has to do with a 7-11 promotional tie in way back in the 80s. There was going to be this showing for the first time on TV of an old 3D movie. Something to do with a gorilla but not King Kong. And you got your 3D glasses for this once in a life time event at 7-11 when you bought like a banana slurpee or something like that. The film was on too late for us kids to watch so my Dad taped it on the VCR (one of the very few among our acquaintance at the time). We were so excited when we finally got to watch it and... the 3D did not work.
Does ANYone else remember this? I KNOW I am not making it up. 3D gorilla film, 7-11 merchandising, television event, 1980's.
