Random Remnants. Five Free Random Cross Stitch Patterns for You to Download

Hello happy friends! Yes that's right, it is time for another week of random remnants from my ort cloud of free cross stitch patterns. All of the leftovers that didn't quite fit a theme in the last couple months or didn't quite make it into a theme week.

These cross stitch 3D glasses might evoke some nostalgia in some of us who are a, ahem, certain age. In fact I have a very specific memory related to this free cross stitch pattern which has to do with a 7-11 promotional tie in way back in the 80s. There was going to be this showing for the first time on TV of an old 3D movie. Something to do with a gorilla but not King Kong. And you got your 3D glasses for this once in a life time event at 7-11 when you bought like a banana slurpee or something like that. The film was on too late for us kids to watch so my Dad taped it on the VCR (one of the very few among our acquaintance at the time). We were so excited when we finally got to watch it and... the 3D did not work.

Does ANYone else remember this? I KNOW I am not making it up. 3D gorilla film, 7-11 merchandising, television event, 1980's.

Octoberfest! All whole week of free craft beer cross stitch patterns to download

It's Octoberfest all week this week at Hancock's House of Happy with five new free craft beer cross stitch designs. Craft beer is another passion of mine (check out my craft beer instagram @thebeerinreview) and it is October so Octoberfest seemed like a sensible thing to do!

I'm also starting to think about Christmas (I love Christmas and I am not sorry) and what people might be thinking about cross stitching for gifts.

This craft beer tap room sign was inspired by vintage pub mirrors. There are two versions for you to download. One cross stitch pattern has an antique mirror background (shown above) while the other free cross stitch design has a blank background.

I actually posted a poll involving this free beer cross stitch pattern on the facebook page because I could not decide which version to post. The vote was so close I decided to post both. Someone on there suggested that this would be perfect for working on a dyed fabric to get the antique look. It is a full coverage cross stitch if you decide to go for the mirror finish and that is quite a challenge.

If you decide to go for the blank background this would be a pretty quick cross stitch pattern to make up. And you can also change the colours really easily. I am sure it would look great in your tap room (or corner of the basement where the beer fridge is lol).

A week of coffee themed cross stitch designs and patterns free to download!

It's Coffee Week! A whole week of cross stitch designs celebrating this delicious and bitter liquid made from what can only be described as magical beans.

Today's free cross stitch pattern is a retro vintage style diner sign. I mean you gotta get coffee somewhere don't you? Why not the Atomic Diner?

I imagine this place would have a menu with things on it like Fusion Fries, Reactor Burgers, and Plutonium Dogs. It's in the middle of the desert miles from anywhere and the owner is this big buxom peroxide blonde who keeps a tire iron behind the counter to deal with trouble-makers.

This is a good free cross stitch pattern for a beginner and would be a great gift for the vintage style home cook.
