Hello happy friends! We are kicking off another theme week here on Hancock's House of Happy. The vernal equinox has just past and the days are getting warmer and longer here in the Northern hemisphere. There is also some crazy ass shit going down in the world and I think we all need a bit of a reminder that life finds a way and happy times come around again. Just like Spring.
Sometimes, because I need a break to take care of myself and other things going on in my life, I re-post some of my free cross stitch patterns rather than doing brand new ones. You may have noticed that is what is happening this week.
The huge floating fairy tale patreon exclusive got most of my time and attention this month. It took over three weeks to design and finish. Maybe a total of 20-30 hours. Gives you an indication of why some cross stitch patterns can be so expensive!
This little (I used to do such SMALL designs!) cross stitch rabbit silhouette band sampler is probably six or seven years old now. The free cross stitch patterns used to be weekly rather than a daily thing and I can't believe I was doing that with a full time corporate job as well!
A cross stitch bunny would be so cute for a kid's room or even as a birth announcement like yesterday's hatching chicks cross stitch pattern. You just need to add a name and date using a cross stitch font. This one from December would look nice with this style of cross stitch.
The sample finished cross stitch above is shown on a green fabric background just because I was interested in what it might look like on a different colour. It would really pop on black like some of the silhouette patterns I have posted in the past.
The colours are pretty easy to switch up for this rabbit cross stitch pattern as well. You could do some really bold primary colours or even a monochromatic range would look cool.
