Hello happy friends! We are kicking off another theme week here on Hancock's House of Happy. The vernal equinox has just past and the days are getting warmer and longer here in the Northern hemisphere. There is also some crazy ass shit going down in the world and I think we all need a bit of a reminder that life finds a way and happy times come around again. Just like Spring.
A happy cross stitch caterpillar has come out to say hello amidst a bed of pretty cross stitch flowers. I am actually at war with some caterpillars at the moment who are intent on devouring my box tree. It is usually pretty live and let live with me. Snails are routinely re-homed in the back forty and I am on very good terms with my spiders. The odd caterpillar is cool with me but this is an INFESTATION! Plus they aren't anywhere near as happy as this fellow.
These particular caterpillars are actually responsible for a full on decimation of all the box in the south of the UK over the last year. I thought maybe the winter had killed them off but NOOOO I found a couple of the horrible little bastards out there the other day.
Not sure where I was going there... anyways you can easily change the colours of this free cross stitch pattern to suit just about any season. It is a nice little compact design and great for beginners.
