So What Can You Do With an Equilateral Triangle? Make Pyramid Chickens of Course!

In THIS post I wrote a little tutorial on how to crochet a triangle. An equilateral triangle.

Now that is all well and good but what can you do WITH all those nifty triangles?

The reason I did the triangle post is because I wanted to crochet a triangle and could not find anything on the web that really helped me.

I sort of had to figure it out on my own by trial and error. My partner thought I had gone a bit mad. All sorts of crochet triangles everywhere for like a week!
Why did I want to crochet a triangle? Because I wanted to make a pyramid chicken door stop. The little guy above was my first attempt.

When I knew I had the right sort of triangle I tried a slightly larger version.

The issue I had was that the guage is not quite one to one. Each stitch is slightly wider than it is high so the sides of the triangles are not quite equal. They still fit together properly though. I might try this again but use a slip stitch instead of a single crochet.

Why did I want a pyramid chicken doorstop?

I really can't remember. It took me such a long time to figure it out I am bored with the whole project now!

If I can face doing another triangle I will post up the pattern. Let me know if you would be interested.
