Welcome to Ortstravaganza! Two weeks of random-ish free cross patterns to download. Sometimes a cross stitch design idea will come to me and I will make a pattern but it doesn't fit anywhere in the schedule or there wasn't enough in the idea for a whole week of free cross stitch patterns.
These go in what I call my Ort cloud. They sort of sit there on my computer until I think of something to go with them or can develop the idea further or, like right now, I just can't wait to publish them.
So for the next two weeks all the free cross stitch designs won't have a particular theme (although this week is fairly nautical) but they all would make super gifts because most of them are small to medium sized. They cover a wide range of skills as well. So if you are looking for a challenge or just a quick and easy cross stitch pattern there is bound to be something to suit you!
Today the free cross stitch pattern is this amazing full coverage sunset scene! Red sky at night is a sailor's delight. This free nautical sunset cross stitch pattern has so many subtle colours in it and it is sure to delight the sailor in your life.
Although I would have to say the water is looking a little choppy around the green buoy there.
I like doing at least one free full coverage cross stitch design every week. They can be challenging but this seascape cross stitch design would probably still be good for an intermediate beginner cross stitcher. It isn't particularly fiddly and still has some nice big colour blocks.
