Creature Comforts. Five Free Cross Stitch Patterns for Beginners Featuring Some Kind and Unconventional Creatures.
Hello happy friends! If you have been following the facebook page (which I highly recommend) you know that I have been having some health issues that have been hampering my creative process. So I thought it would be kind of nice to take a break from super complicated free cross stitch patterns and make some cross stitch designs that would be good for beginners.
So I came up with the concept of Creature Comforts. Or maybe Comforting Creatures would be more appropriate. Five free cross stitch patterns featuring some unconventional creatures offering kindness and encouragement. These free creature cross stitch patterns are all great for beginners or if you need a quick project for a gift.
Being a plain jane I have a soft spot for the old blob fish and other aesthetically challenged creatures. You may not be gorgeous (or a creative genius, or a math whizz, or on a career fast track or whatever) but you ARE enough. Everything you have in you (and it is more than you think) is enough. Enough to be happy, to have love, to feel fulfilled, to contribute.
Which is why I thought that sentiment paired well with the cross stitch blob fish. The blob fish doesn't need to explain itself or justify its existence and neither do you. This is another great beginner cross stitch pattern. Just really simple shapes with an outline and minimal colours.
