Hello happy friends! Yes that's right, it is time for another week of random remnants from my ort cloud of free cross stitch patterns. All of the leftovers that didn't quite fit a theme in the last couple months or didn't quite make it into a theme week.
Who doesn't love crayons? NO ONE that's who. I certainly love this crayon cross stitch pattern. It is so colourful and happy. As yesterday got me on to a nostalgia kick I will tell you a story about crayons. When I was really little, like six or seven, you had to have a box of crayons for your school supplies. As a family we didn't have a lot of extra income at the time so it was always the bare minimum box of eight standard colours. BUT there was always one or two kids on the class who got the HUGE 84 colour Crayola box with the BUILT IN SHARPENER (does this still even exist?). This was the bees knees to seven year old me. ALL THOSE COLOURS! And those rich kids got a new box like that every year.
So one year I decided that this was the one thing I wanted most in the whole world and that this is what I would ask Santa for that Christmas. And that was literally all I wanted. We were only allowed to ask Santa for one or maybe two things. And this was my one thing. I think my parents felt a bit sorry for me but they made sure I got that big box of crayons and I must have coloured each and every one down to a nub.
If you are a beginner cross stitcher this free crayon cross stitch pattern would be perfect for you. There is a ton of colours (so you have an excuse to beef up your stash) but the cross stitch pattern itself isn't very complicated at all.
