Well we finished our mid-century modern madness sampler yesterday which leaves four days this week for a new theme!
From today until Friday you will be getting four new absolutely free cross stitch patterns featuring some of my favourite tentacle sporting creatures.
Today we have a free cross stitch design for a groovy psychedelic octopus! This would be perfect for a hippy pirate friend or for a craft room. I often wish I had eight arms but don't think my brain would be smart enough to keep track of them all.
The octopus is also a symbol of the self sacrifice of parenthood because the Pacific octopus lays its eggs and then guards them until they hatch but then dies from starvation because it won't leave its babies. Such a sad story!
