Hello happy friends! How are you today? Last week is was all dinosaurs. This week it is all cute creepy crawlies like bees and bugs and things!Never been a girly girl. Someone forgot to tell me that I was supposed to be afraid of bugs and spiders and things so they actually became my friends as a kid (hey what is normal?).
There hasn't really been many insect cross stitch patterns on the website apart from the odd bee. I don't think there has ever been a moth or a butterfly. Although there has been a caterpillar.
The insect cross stitch pattern for today is a realistic and pretty moth cross stitch. I have to admit that for some reason moths freak me out. Like of all the bugs these are the ones that, if they get near me, make me emit a little strangled high pitched EUGH! It isn't a fear exactly. It's more like they are just gross. And I don't know why. Many are as pretty as butterflies.
Anyway this looks like a moth (or maybe it's a butterfly) that I get in my garden in the summer time. They are the colour of chicory flowers which I could not quite match with a DMC thread but really you can make this cross stitch moth any combo of colours you want. It is also a beginner friendly cross stitch pattern.
