Hello happy friends! We had a week of short and sweet designs so I thought I would balance that out with a week of sarcastic and bitchy cross stitch patterns for those of us who are, well, a little bit ambivalent about Valentines day. Being a plain Jane and rather odd fish I never got many Valentines as a kid (ugh they made us give them out in school wtf is that about?!) and it never really figured large in my romantic life. My partner and I think it's kinda dumb. If it's your thing then you do you but if you hate it as much as I do then maybe one of this weeks free cross stitch patterns will help you get your frustration out.
I guess some of us are out there looking for "the one". The rest of us are settling for the one who annoys us the least. Maybe it is just the times we live in that FOREVER now means until we moderately dislike each other. This seems like a much more realistic vow for anyone who really isn't that into long term relationships. Those are just soooo much work! This is an alternative free cross stitch pattern for the traditional marriage sampler. Be careful though, you might not finish stitching it before moderate dislike sets it!
This free sarcastic cross stitch pattern comes with a colour key for several shades of red and pink. HOWEVER, this is the perfect cross stitch pattern for variegated thread! My cross stitch charting software doesn't handle variegated thread but you could stitch the words using just one skein of multi-coloured floss.
