Random Remnants. Five Free Random Cross Stitch Patterns for You to Download

Hello happy friends! Yes that's right, it is time for another week of random remnants from my ort cloud of free cross stitch patterns. All of the leftovers that didn't quite fit a theme in the last couple months or didn't quite make it into a theme week.

This week of free cross stitch patterns feels like it has been very beginner cross stitch friendly. And today's free cat cross stitch pattern with a mid-century modern style is not an exception. There are very simple shapes and blocks of colour in this free cross stitch pattern and if you had a crap ton of variegate floss you could conceivably stitch it in all one kind of thread!

The cross stitch cat was originally going to be all one colour but it felt sort of boring so I went for more of an ombre cross stitch idea. But you could substitute what ever colours you prefer. I also went for a dark gray-brown background fabric because I thought it make the colours I chose pop a bit more. You can stitch this mysterious funky feline on whatever colour you have on hand to suit you.

A week of space themed cross stitch designs and patterns free to download!

It's day two of Space Week! A whole week of astronomy, space, and planet themed free cross stitch designs to download.

Today we visit the mysterious planet of Caturn! This is one of those cross stitch designs that look so good in my head but are extremely difficult to execute effectively in practice. Not my best work but it's still kinda cute.

I was thinking of doing all of the planets as cats like I did with the Sushi Cats cross stitch patterns but I had so much trouble with this one that it probably won't happen. Need to go away and have a rethink about how I would do it. Maybe some day!

This would be a good cross stitch pattern for an intermediate beginner. There's no back stitching but there are a lot of colour transitions and similar colours.

To be sure any cat lover or space geek would be chuffed to get this planetary cross stitch as a gift.

Hey folks. Not much to say today. Here is a free cross stitch chart for you in time for Hallowe'en. Or is it Halloween now? Not sure. It's a cute kawaii candy corn cat. This is a really easy cross stitch design. You could probably stitch it up in a couple of hours.

Remember that August is a whole month of animal cross stitch designs with a new free cross stitch pattern to download coming out every single week day.

I published this free cross stitch pattern of a Lucky Cat or Maneki Neko some time ago and it was only available to download on Craftsy. Unfortunately Craftsy got sold to Blu-Print or some such and they removed their pattern hosting area. This meant I couldn't publish larger designs for free any more.

BUT with a little re-working I think this image download works well.

This is a large cross stitch pattern and has lots of fuzzy back stitching so not for absolute beginners. You can change the yellow and red to suit your decor. I went for the classic lucky cat colours. She's not kawaii exactly but still I think she's kinda cute. A good one for decorating the kitchen or entrance porch or a house warming present.

Today's absolutely free cross stitch pattern is a gorgeous galaxy cat. I really enjoyed designing this free cross stitch pattern because it has so many lovely colours in it. The cat was inspired by some wonderful street art I saw in Manchester, England last year. I have three other cats in a similar style that I will be turning into Patreon exclusive designs so make sure you keep an eye out for them.

This is a challenging cross stitch design because it has a fairly wide colour range and is stitched on black. Although you could stitch it on another colour if you prefer. The black background really makes it pop. It also has some back stitching and outlining.
