I cannot believe it is nearly December! That is just four months since Hancock's House of Happy relaunched! And this week I am very excited about the new free cross stitch patterns for you to download.
I know you are probably all familiar with the concept of silhouettes and cross stitch silhouettes that are filled in with repeating patterns. I have never really done a design like this so I challenged myself. Mostly these sorts of silhouette cross stitch designs are animals. Like cats or elephants or whatever. And they tend to be flat. The cross stitch silhouette is filled in with a cross stitch repeating pattern in one colour variation.
So I started thinking... what other sorts of things could one wall paper in cross stitch? The result is a whole week of geometric pattern cross stitch silhouette designs.
As much as yesterday's geometric cross stitch pattern telescope didn't really work out as well as I could have hoped, today's geometric cross stitch pattern coffee pot design worked out better than I ever expected.
This Italian style coffee pot cross stitch design is filled in with a classic repeating carpet pattern which I really think suits the coffee pot cross stitch silhouette. I used different combinations of colours in a single geometric cross stitch pattern to show light and shadow and the different materials of the coffee pot.
I am sure you know someone who loves coffee and would love this coffee pot cross stitch silhouette.
